VIRTUAL OPTIONS FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON

During the 2020 holiday seasom, we may not be able to get together physically but there is still the option for virtual hang outs. If you would like to do a virtual hang out this holiday season, you have many options. Simply read on to find out more:

Zoom:

  • With a free account, Zoom allows you to invite up to 100 people for up to 40 minutes
  • You can use Zoom either through the web, a desktop app, or a smartphone/tablet app

Skype:

  • With a free account, Skype allows you to invite up to 50 participants for an unlimited duration
  • You can use Skype either through the web, a desktop app, or a smartphone/tablet app

GoToMeeting:

  • With a free account, GoToMeeting allows you to invite up to 3 people for up to 40 minutes
  • You can use GoToMeeting either through the web, a desktop app, or a smartphone/tablet app

Cisco Webex Meetings:

  • With a free account, Cisco Webex Meetings allows you to invite up to 100 people for an unlimited duration
  • You can use Cisco Webex Meetings either through the web, a desktop app, or a smartphone/tablet app

UberConference:

  • With a free account, UberConference allows you to invite up to 10 people for up to 45 minutes
  • You can use UberConference either through the web, a desktop app, or a smartphone/tablet app

  • Please note that all participants will need to enter a PIN created by the organizer of the virtual hangout in order to join a virtual hangout using the free UberConference account

Google Hangouts:

  • If you have a Google account, you can use Google Hangouts to hang out with up to 250 people
  • You can use Google Hangouts either through the web, a desktop app, or a smartphone/tablet app

  • Please note that all participants need to have a Google account to participate

Microsoft Teams:

  • If you have a Microsoft account, you can use Microsoft Teams to hang out with up to 300 people
  • You can use Microsoft Teams either through the web, a desktop app, or a smartphone/tablet app

  • Please note that all participants need to have a Microsoft account to participate

Group FaceTime Call:

  • If you have an iPhone, an iPad or a Mac computer or laptop, you can use FaceTime to set up a group FaceTime call using the FaceTime app to have a virtual hang out this holiday season
  • Please note that all participants need to have an Apple device that uses FaceTime to participate
